In a recent heart-stirring event reported by the Daily Mail, a rescue operation unfolded in Bahia Blanca, Buenos Aires state, eastern Argentina, where a dog had been trapped in a sewer for over four days.

A distressing video captured the poor dog struggling within the confines of the sewer, managing to breathe by barely keeping its head, nose, and paws above the surface of the drain.

The circumstances of how the dog ended up in this predicament remain unclear, but the local municipality of Bahia Blanca, along with Civil Defense officials, orchestrated a timely rescue.

The frightened, yet resilient, dog peeked out from the sewer, clearly terrified and confused by the ordeal. Compassionate neighbors at the intersection of Roca and Terrada in the city came forward to provide the dog with food and water while they alerted emergency services by calling 911.

Civil Defense teams responded promptly and, after considerable effort, successfully extricated the dog from the sewer.

Following the rescue, the dog was taken to the Second Section, where it patiently waited to be adopted into a loving home.
