WITH UPDATE: Blaze, Kitten Rescued From Wildfire, Adopted by Her Original Hero Fireman!

They say that some souls are destined to find each other, and Blaze the kitten, rescued from a wildfire in California, found her way back to her original hero—a firefighter who saved her life in the chaos of flames.

A Fiery Start for Blaze
Blaze was just five weeks old, a tiny one-pound kitten, when she was pulled from a wildfire that tore through the Sepulveda Basin near Sherman Oaks, burning over 20 acres. The sweet kitten was badly burned, with singed fur and injuries covering more than 40% of her small body. Despite her pain, Blaze showed her loving spirit by curling up in the arms of the firefighters who saved her.

Round-the-Clock Care
The Little Angels Project stepped in to provide Blaze with the medical attention she desperately needed. Her singed coat was almost gone, leaving her vulnerable, but the rescuers gave her the care and affection required to heal. With their help and a fundraiser that quickly reached its $3,000 goal, Blaze began her journey to recovery, discovering the comfort of a warm bed, regular meals, and the gentle hands of those committed to helping her.

A Kitten Ready for Her Forever Home
For the first time, Blaze was able to be carefree, enjoying her kittenhood as she healed. The rescue staff and foster parents saw her resilience and knew she deserved an exceptional forever home. But as it turned out, they wouldn’t have to search far to find the perfect match.

Reunited with Her Original Rescuer
In a heartwarming twist, Blaze’s rescuer came back for her. The firefighter who had initially saved Blaze from the flames returned to give her the forever home she deserved. This touching reunion was shared by The Little Angels Project, capturing the hearts of everyone who followed Blaze’s story.

“We are very happy to announce that Blaze, our burned kitten from the Sepulveda fire, has been adopted by the firefighter who initially found and saved her life!! We are crying many tears tonight and are so happy for her!” they wrote on social media, adding hashtags like #adopt #firefighter #meowmeow.
