A Unique Partnership
Peter Cook and Becky Northey first crossed paths in 1995, forming both a partnership and a shared passion for transforming trees into living art, a practice they proudly call “Pooktre.”

A Sustainable Approach to Art
Rather than cutting down trees to construct structures, Peter and Becky advocate for the integration of living trees into urban spaces. Their vision is to enhance our environment with vibrant greenery that offers fresh air and beauty, thriving for centuries with minimal maintenance.

A Commitment to Education and Sustainability
“Teaching others how easy it is to incorporate trees into our living environment is how we have chosen to contribute to the health of our planet,” Becky explained.

Decades of Expertise
With a combined 41 years of experience studying trees, Peter and Becky have developed a unique process for shaping them, known as Pooktre. They have refined a gradual shaping technique, allowing trees to grow along pre-designed forms, ultimately creating stunning and functional pieces of art.
